BRIEF – PAVILION
A research-led proposal for a pavilion, a building or object type that sits awkwardly between
architecture and art.
CONCEPT – CIRCLE OF TRUST
“Circle” is a tangible/intangible boundary to represent a protected room of trust, and people are selective to place their trust in some others.
In this project, “Pavilion” is a substitution of “Circle”, which will address an interaction into a society.
STRUCTURE – STEEL FRAME
To provide a variation of steel frames, which is aimed to experiment a possibility in architectural aspect.
SKIN – ELASTIC ROPES
To address a traditional art technique for shaping a shell, which is to weave the ropes.
Weaving is a gesture of making a connection
