ABOUT ME
-Master of Architecture (M.Arch) with Distinction, at the University of Manchester (2018 -2020)
-Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) (Hons) equivalent, Urban Planning, at Guizhou University (2004 -2008)
I am a Guernsey-based artist, architect, and urban planner. My work examines the connection between the built environment and its inhabitants’ emotional “soul.” After working on significant projects in Paris, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Manchester, I transitioned in 2022 from global cities to the historic Channel Islands.
In November 2022, I faced two options: continue my career in urban design and architecture at an international firm in Rotterdam or explore a new opportunity in Guernsey, a charming island I hadn’t yet visited.
Viewing the world through a unique “quad-lens,” I integrate aerial perspective, architectural precision, artistic spirit, and a fascination with psychology. My practice documents the delicate tension and connection between the artificial and the natural world, particularly how Guernsey’s ancient stone interacts with shifting coastal elements and the human psyche. This psychological dimension allows me to look beneath the surface of the individual to explore the “Internal World”—mapping how human attachment metabolises the internal landscape.
As an “island integrator,” I blend my adopted home’s rich history with contemporary life. My contributions to the Bailiwick’s cultural landscape include:
- The Guernsey Banknote Series: My artworks are featured on the new series set to launch in 2027.
- Guernsey Museums: My original drawings are held in the permanent collection.
- “A Tale of the Magical Granite Rock”: My acclaimed 2026 solo exhibition marked a milestone in my journey, revealing the diverse and enchanting stories etched into the island’s heritage.
