This is my first “Art & Architecture” show in Guernsey! “Pop Up Show 2024 was at OSA Pop Up Shop from July 25 to August 3.
The show was successful. Thank you for everyone’s support. I was pleased to see all the faces, both familiar and new. Hearing personal stories about how they resonated with my art was a privilege.
Thanks to the Pop-up shop for providing the space to allow it to happen.
Guernsey is a special place; its holistic environment certainly influences my artwork. Therefore, I donated a proportion of the sales during the show to support La Société Guernesiaise, a Guernsey environmental organisation.
I first encountered La Société Guernesiaise through an ongoing Conservation Herd project at Vazon Bay.
“Within the past decade, 50% of Guernsey’s species-rich grasslands has been lost. This loss has resonated through the ecosystem as it affects the species which are dependent on it, such as the skylark which stopped breeding in the Island in 2010, or the meadow pipit which is in steady and long-term decline.
Due to the loss of diversity in fields used for commercial agricultural, we must now rely on marginal and semi-natural land to support the majority of the island’s biodiversity.”
