A remarkable highlight of Guernsey’s infrastructure. Construction of Guernsey’s remarkable dam began in 1938 but was paused during the German Occupation in 1940. Work resumed after liberation in 1945, and the dam was completed in January 1947, with full capacity reached by April. The artwork showcases the elegant arches and sturdy pump house of the reservoir, highlighting its historical significance and engineering excellence.
