NATASHA K. HE

Guernsey Artist Natasha K. HE

Natasha K. HE is a Guernsey artist and architect. She works in pen and ink, watercolour and oil from her studio on the island, drawing and painting the landmarks of St Peter Port and the wider Bailiwick: Castle Cornet, Victoria Tower, the Market Place, Vale Castle and the bathing pools at La Vallette.

The artist behind Guernsey's new banknotes

Natasha won the competition to design Guernsey's new banknotes. Her artworks will be featured on the back of every note in the 2027 series, carried in pockets across the island every day.

In the permanent collection of Guernsey Museums

Her original drawings of the Market Place and Victoria Tower were acquired by Guernsey Museums for the island's fine art collection. Her work has featured in the Guernsey Press weekend arts pages, and her first solo exhibition in Guernsey Elizabeth College drew coverage from the island's media.

A long line of artists in Guernsey

Guernsey has drawn artists for centuries. Renoir spent a month at Moulin Huet in 1883 and painted fifteen canvases of the bay. Victor Hugo wrote some of his greatest work in exile in St Peter Port. Today the island supports a lively community of Guernsey artists, and Natasha's detailed pen and ink records of its streets and coastline continue that tradition.

Original art, prints and cards

Her online store carries original drawings and paintings, limited edition giclée prints, open edition prints, greeting cards and fine art photography, with worldwide shipping from the Channel Islands. You can see the full body of her work at NKH Art and read her story on the about page.

Commissions

If you are looking for Guernsey artists to commission, Natasha takes on a small number of pen and ink, watercolour, and oil commissions each year, for homes, businesses and gifts. Get in touch to talk about a piece.
